I have played this game with my oldest son lately because we decided to challenge each other. Which of one can get the farthest into the game without using save states. You know save states like the ones you can use on your Mini SNES or in an emulator.
A hard game to beat
I think Donkey Kong Country is hard. There is a lot of precision timing in jumps and I need to practice many times on some stages to beat this game. We have both stopped our challenge now but I like the game. I enjoy playing it. It is really nice that it’s not in 3d. This game was released before the everything3d era.
Quality platformer game
It is a really good quality platformer game which is a lot of fun to play. It has a lot of different game mechanics like shooting yourself in barrels and so on, so there’s not only running and jumping.
I hope I can beat the game tonight. Even though I use save states.

I have finally beaten Donkey Kong Country. I am not a good player but I like it.
